Authorities report that the scene is still active and the shooter has not been arrested
Austin-Emergency Services said three people were shot and killed in Austin on Wednesday and no suspects were detained.
The Austin-Travis County Environmental Management System said it has not received reports from other victims. EMS spokeswoman Captain Christa Steadman said Sunday afternoon that the scene was still active and no one had been arrested.
He said that the first 911 call time was 11:44 am and three adults were shot dead.
The police said on Twitter that they were at the scene of the shooting and asked nearby residents to hide in appropriate places to avoid the area.
The images at the scene show a large number of emergency personnel present.
Steadman said he did not know the exact location of the three deaths. She said they responded to an area that included a shopping mall, several retail stores, and a large apartment complex behind it.
