AT&T announced Wednesday that it’s extending its COVID-19 vaccine mandate to include employees who are represented by the Communications Workers of America union.
The Associated Press The union represents around 90,000 AT&T employees.
AT&T had already established a mandate for vaccines to be administered to management. They must be fully vaccinated before Oct. 11.
Union employees will be vaccinated until February 1, 2022, unless they have an approved job accommodation.
According to The Associated Press, employees who do not want to be vaccinated by February 1st will get a 60-day period of unpaid “reconsideration.”
